Soft, medium-weight merino that goes in the washing machine: the yarn for an everyday jumper, for adults and children.
What it's for
Jumpers, cardigans, waistcoats, hats and children's clothes. Stitches come out even and well defined, which is why it is so popular for cables and moss stitch.

Adult jumper, size M: 11 to 12 balls. Hat: 1 to 2. These are rough figures: always check the pattern.
Pairs with
It belongs to group B, like Cotton Merino and Soft Tweed: at the same tension, they can replace each other in DROPS patterns. Held together with a strand of Brushed Alpaca Silk, the fabric becomes fluffy and warmer.
Care
Machine wash at 40 °C on a gentle cycle, no fabric softener, and dry flat. Knit slightly tighter than usual so your tension matches.

Spun from multiple thin strands, it gives beautiful, even stitches, and it’s Ideal for textured patterns such as cables and seed stitch. Garments made in this yarn are very comfortable, have extra elasticity and great surface quality. It is this special construction that makes it important to use the correct tension in your project, so use a tight tension rather than a loose one.
DROPS Merino Extra Fine yarn is superwash treated, which means it's machine washable and suitable for everyday use; but when washing your garments you must be extra careful and follow closely the care instructions. This yarn is spun from fibers from free-range, mulesing free animals from South America, DROPS Merino Extra Fine is Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified.
