Pure new wool with no superwash treatment, a DROPS classic since the 1980s: sturdy, warm and in 51 colours.
What it's for
Winter and outdoor jumpers, cables, hats, mittens and felting projects. It is a rustic wool: if you have sensitive skin, Nepal or Merino Extra Fine feel softer around the neck.

Adult jumper, size M: 14 to 16 balls. Hat: 2. These are rough figures: always check the pattern.

It belongs to group C, like Nepal and Brushed Alpaca Silk. With such a wide colour range, it is a favourite for colourwork and stripes.
Care
Hand wash at 30 °C maximum and dry flat. Hot water and friction will felt it, which is handy when that is what you want. Every 3 washes, Sfeltro helps keep the wool soft.
About this yarn
A classic spun, untreated yarn, in 100% new wool. Untreated wool means that the fibers are only washed, and not exposed to any chemical treatment prior to the dyeing. This enhances the wool's best qualities, while it also provides a better shape and texture quality.
