Long-staple Egyptian cotton, fine and with a sheen: the DROPS summer yarn, cool, hard-wearing and in many colours.
What it's for
Summer tops and jumpers, baby clothes, amigurumi and lacy crochet. Cotton does not stretch like wool, so stitches stay very crisp.
How many balls
Adult summer top, size M: 5 to 7 balls. Small amigurumi: 1. These are rough figures: always check the pattern.
Pairs with
It belongs to group A, like Baby Merino, Alpaca and Fabel. For a slightly warmer cotton garment, Cotton Merino is the alternative.
Care
Machine wash at 40 °C on a gentle cycle and dry flat. Cotton is heavy when wet: do not hang it to dry, or it will lose its shape.
